Today marks the release of the second issue of Chuck from Wildstorm and DC Comics. Here’s what I’m wondering: Are you reading the comics? If so, what do you think of them?
Personally, I have plans to be at my local comic shop shortly after 3, when the new releases arrive. I loved Chuck #1 beyond all reason; it really captured the essence of an episode, and I can’t wait to get my copy of Chuck #2 this afternoon!
My one hope is that Sarah isn’t as marginalized in #2; at first, I loved that it was, basically, Chuck and Casey Are Awesome and Do Stuff (just like the show!) but I find I’m kind of disappointed in Sarah just being there to a) look pretty and b) beat people up. I guess that’s probably my one qualm with the show, too. Ah, well. You can’t always get what you want– wait, that’s a different show all together. Everybody lies? Nope, still wrong. (I am probably the only person alive who would read a House, MD comic and absolutely laugh my ass off.)
Tonight, I’ll try to find some time to sit down and review both issues, since I neglected to do so (apart from barely-coherent fangirl squeeing in my Livejournal) when the first one came out.
