I really don't get it. How can something one does in one's sleep -- screencapping, in this case -- be so stressful?
I set up Snagit to cap Chuck last night before heading to bed. However, I underestimated the amount of caps it would take, and so I ended up with errors where it was trying to overwrite. Blech. Also, at some point (actually I now know it was at the very beginning of Chuck vs. the Alma Mater) the VLC window decided it'd be cool to show OVER the VLC fullscreen display, so the caps for that and every episode after have a blank window obscuring half the picture, so I had to delete several THOUSAND useless screencaps. *facepalm* I've increased the number of digits in the output filenames, but I still don't know how I can stop that window thing from happening again if I leave it unattended, so I'll have to babysit while I cap the remaining episodes, from Alma Mater on.
I'm now completely caught up on the Angel comics and the Buffy comics. I gotta say, though, they don't feel like canon. They feel like really fun fanfic. I wonder if Christian Bale, Daniel Craig and Tina Fey are aware they've been comic-book-fantasied? Having now read the controversial twelfth issue of Buffy, I'm no more clear whether the thing (if you are spoiled, you will know what I'm referring to, and if you're not, you won't become spoiled by that, right?) was a bid for readers or just for the lulz. Poor Buffy, though. How embarrassing. I tend to lean toward sticking with my original assessment that it was, in fact, a cheap bid for readers. No matter how many copies they've sold, they can always sell more. However, torturing Buffy by screwing with her romantic life has been one of Joss' hobbies for years now, and I don't expect him to stop just because she's in print instead of on screen, which is why I'm fence-sitting. OH! SPEAKING OF FENCE-SITTING! On the Angel front, remember how last night in that "things I love" meme, I mentioned Lorne? I REALLY LOVE LORNE.And the fact that I've lei'd Andy has absolutely no bearing on that. Lorne is just so fucking fabulous. ♥ ♥ ♥
I think I'm going to nap-and-cap. It's a lazy-feeling Sunday afternoon and I am really damned exhausted.

My boyfriend just asked our cat if she was, or had ever been, a member of the communist party.
She declined to answer.
